Repetition: The power it holds within us
The power of repetition is so powerful because if you have a bad habit it is so ingrained in your mind. That you have trouble breaking it. It is natural, so natural in fact that you don’t even know you’re doing it sometimes. This is the same for a good habit, which is great because if you hold good habits they will benefit you. You will do this every single day like it a a routine. For example, I train my body a little bit every day through repetition of exercises, walking and stretching. And so the saying goes “you are what you do” and “you do what you are”.
So if you find some good habits to integrate into your mind and find some that you could benefit getting rid of. Start to practice in ways that will help you to get through the bad habits. Which will be tough but rewarding at the same time. You will know when you’ve succeeded with these bad repetitive habits because you will feel powerful. With full control over your mind and body. Otherwise if you don’t tackle things now the cycle of bad habits will continue.
How to get rid of bad habits
The first thing you need to do is identify the bad habits that you think you have. Write them down on a list and then make a list of ways you can decrease these over time. Don’t take them out all at once, this can have a negative effect on your body. Due to you wanting these habits your body wont want to let them go easily. Make a gradual plan that eliminates them throughout time. For example if you eat fast food 4 times a week. Start with making it 3 times a week, then twice a week and then only once a week. Keep it at that then decided whether you really need it in your life or not.
How to increase a good habit
It will take you more than 21 attempts or tries to enforce a good habit in the form of healthy food or exercise. Even though people say 21 days, it can be more like 60 days. Once you’ve done this it will be hard to stop, because you’re gradually making it a habit. This is the repetition I was talking about in the beginning. Lots of people find it hard to get into an exercise routine. Most of the time this is due to it being hard and feeling sore afterwards. Or you might be too tired after work and not have enough time.
I’ve heard all of these excuses and thats what a personal trainer can help you with. As a trainer I help a number of people with this issue. We are all humans and we all seek the easy way out. However, working out after work when you don’t feel like it by fitting in a time restrictive workout. This will not just increase your physical strength but also your mental strength to deal with life.
When you are going through a tough time, it is hard to think about yourself. Therefore, it is hard to workout because that is thinking about yourself. At the end of the day you have to look after yourself. It is the only way you’re going to feel better to be able to deal with other things life throws your way. Working out with your mobile personal trainer is a great way to get rid of stress and it relaxes the mind. We hold a lot of tension in our bodies, we just have to vibrate it out.
