Josh Jarrett (Personal Trainer)
I’ve been in the fitness industry for nearly a decade and over the years have sampled many forms of training, from martial arts to Olympic lifting (not at Olympic standard mind), there is just so much out there you can never get bored, new way and approaches to training are now looking into science than ever before. Its an important link between us and our own body.
What first drew me to become a personal trainer was the fact I could be doing what I found important, which was helping people that need guidance in the field of health and well-being. I would always be itching to aid someone struggling on a bench press or trying to figure out which leaver to pull on leg extension.
I find that the best way of training is mixing it up, doing things that are specific for you, rather that just “picking up” and “putting down”. Rather think about “engage, brace, lift, pull, stabilise, FOCUS” perfect the movement don’t just go through the motion. I focus on strength and control with dynamic and compound movements that get the body firing on all cylinders.
