Your body is a long term investment

If you have no qualms investing in property, stocks and shares or other financial passive incomes. You should have no problem investing in your body. It is the vehicle that enables you to live and work. Your body enables you to have fun and enjoy what is precious in life. If you look after it, it will look after you. It is an asset that will never be able to be taken away from you unless the inevitable happens. However, until then is best to look after your main asset. As I have said if you look after it in different way your body will make sure you are looked after.

How can you help your body?

Factor in 2 resistance training sessions with or without your personal trainer

Resistance training will allow you to stimulate your muscles in your body for growth and muscle maintenance. If you don’t use the muscles that you have on your body in a way that stimulates them metabolically. You will start to see a decline in muscle mass. Which is something that you don’t want to happen. Resistance training can help you gain a new perspective into what your body can do physically. It will also help you see the benefits or regular exercise. Which is better physical fitness, less body fat, better heart health, more mobility and less pain in certain areas.

Walk at least 3-4 times a week

Walking is the easiest form of exercise and it can be done without even knowing you’re doing it. If you can walk to work or walk to the local area for meeting or business. You will be able to stay fit and healthy whilst getting to your area. Factor in extra time or if you’re in London, it is sometime easier to walk from place to place that getting the tube. Walking will help with heart health and distributing new blood around the body. Making you less lethargic and more active. It also burns some calories in the process. Which is an extra but not the be all and end all for walking. The best thing about a nice walk it that it makes you feel heathy.

Stretch and mobilise at least twice a week for 30 minutes

Mobility and stretching is something that I focus on a lot with my clientele. Therefore, I believe that you should too. If you over 40 and feel tight in many areas or the body. It is time to stretch and mobilise. You will start to loosen the tight areas on your body. It will also make you feel less restrictive when getting up and walking around. A 30 minute stretch routine that your personal trainer can organise for you to do. This sort of mobility is low impact and you won’t work up much of a sweat. You can sit in from of the TV to go through your routine. You will feel 100% of the benefit after a long day’s work.

Create a morning routine that enables you to prioritise these aspects above

If you’re a morning person you can incorporate exercise into your morning routine. Resistance training, a short walk or 30 minutes of stretching on different days of the week. This routine will have you on the road to mastering your health and fitness in no time. Your body will thank you now and you will be so happy you started now, later on in life.
